Along the long passage of time news filtered through it vague passage to become what it is today; some titanic fact, others just bogus stories created to make an extraordinary events stranger than it should. It is true there are more spurious stories than the real ones, but there are some happenings that are unalloyed and unmistakably facts. The fact that: the ship was indeed huge, there where many dead people than survivors; the ship sank after colliding with an iceberg etc., are obvious fact.

Fortunately, due to further investigations, more detailed information has been produced but how truthful this information is, no one knows for sure. However, despite the argument about the aspect of the information of the events around the titanic, the consolation is that there was once a mighty ship called RMS Titanic once a long time ago but it is no more, why, how many people died, how many people survived and many other nitty-gritty details is established to a degree, below are some of it.

  • Fact 5: the ship’s major anchor was transported by 20 horses

Discussion: from the fact above it is clear that much time, resources and what have you was dedicated to building and maintaining the ship. The best of everything was not spared on it. Therefore, her fall point at negligence and overconfidence, why? The reason is because negligence and overconfidence is and will always be the downfall of “perfection.”

  • Fact 1: the percentage of survivors is about 32%
  • Fact 2: number of dead people is 54%
  • Fact 3: percentage of animals that survived 3%

Reaction: 54% of dead people against 32% of survived people is simply to wide considering the amount of resources that was dedicated to build the ship. There are few explanations to this. Maybe the security constitution was low, so low to have been inadequate in securing lives or maybe, it wasn’t the security but an overblown ego that saw reasons too late for anything tangible to have been done.

Whatever the reason, it is clear that the ship did sink and in this 100th year of the unhappy incidence the world remember to bid the departed soul farewell.
