Titanic is an American blockbuster, romance and a tragic film that wowed many viewers and critics with its premier in 1997. This film is directed by James Cameron who is himself very much fascinated with ship wrecks. The movie successfully conveys the emotional message of the tragedy by involving the viewers with Jack and Rose, the lead characters, who fall in love aboard Titanic despite their social class differences.

The Final Sinking Moment:

The “unsinkable ship” finally sinks! The pictures of Titanic making the final plunge into the depths of Atlantic were breathtaking. Some posters even depicted Titanic in half, the way it sank, first breaking from the middle and later sinking vertically in the ice-cold ocean waters.

For its excellent production and direction, among other things, Titanic received a record fourteen Academy Award nomination and eleven Oscar wins. It also received the prizes for Best Picture and Best Director, and was the first film to reach a billion dollar mark in the industry.
